Yeah, Brick couldn't read into that last line in the last strip.

On that note, Chapter 1 comes to a close. Ironically, this is the 24th strip and is being shown on the 24th. Nice odds I must say. As a special treat, I did some shading. Depending on how fast I do this, it may be incorporated as a regular thing.

Anyway, this strip is the only one in this chapter to not have Brick in it. I felt Janlyn could use a little more development before she disappears from the story for a bit (Will return at Chapter 3 or 4). Yes, she is a legitimate dancer by trade (gotta get your AC somehow), and yes you'll have to wait until her return to see the front of that outfit...unless you can convince me to make a desktop-type image or something.
